Step-by-step Batman or “Alarm – hands-on”

  • More precisely, he was not even the first. The first was “Paper Isaac” from him. And after watching, I was fired up with the desire to make myself the same Isaac, paint him, and put him on the shelf gather dust please the eye. I downloaded the scanner and thought about getting to work..
“What the hell does Batman have to do with it,” you ask?. Calm down, gentlemen)
The thing is that after really assessing my skills in working with paper (houses glued together in childhood don’t count)), I realized that I would be doing something like this indefinitely, and it’s not a fact that it’s of good quality. I was dumbfounded, in short, glue it, in simple terms. And there is not much free time.
On this note it would be possible to end this story, but my artistic streak found a way out. While visiting a friend, I noticed a fairly high-quality Pyramid Head figurine on the shelf. 15 centimeters in height. It turns out that she was molded by his wife, a very artistic person, from “plastic” for modeling (that’s what I was told the name of this material). I bought this material a couple of days later, and since my hands were itching to do something myself (collectible figures are cool, but they eat up money like a child, and I’m a miser), one fine evening I spontaneously started sculpting Batman. I thought for a long time who to blind. There weren’t that many options, my imagination refused, I settled on the Dark Knight, because I realized that I couldn’t do the same Isaac in a classic suit (and I ONLY wanted that).

This is where I’ll probably end the preface and get down to the sculpting itself. Let me make a reservation right away that I took pictures for accounting purposes, and with a flash too. And since I’m a Photoshop genius, I only turned down the brightness, but believe me, without this the photos looked absolutely eye-popping.

The material was purchased, oddly enough, at a bookstore. In my city it costs about 200 rubles, which is basically mere pennies. There are 500 grams in a package.

And since there is not a word in Russian on the packaging (which is noteworthy, the country of production is NOT China), the only thing I understood is that this material is still closer to clay. However, it feels and interacts with water like plaster. I ask knowledgeable people to enlighten me in the comments. It dries in the air, which simplified the task for me.
The “tool” lying next to it is two knives (stacks), brazenly stolen from my daughter’s plasticine). A jar of toothpicks also took part in the creation of the masterpiece; it will appear in the photos later.

Modeling began with a stand. Here https://walletsoslotcasino.co.uk/mobile-app/ my brain finally lost the ability to fantasize (it started at half past eight in the evening), and a “thing” in the corporate style of a bat was molded as a stand.

It was implied that this was brickwork that had escaped from under the asphalt. Why there is a brick under the asphalt is not a question for me, but for the road workers of Gotham. And yes, there will be no more roulette in the photos.
Two toothpicks (potential legs) were inserted, but in the process their position changed greatly.

Well, my legs actually started to sag.I have a little more than zero experience in sculpting similar things from similar materials, so here’s a leg for you!

Crutches made of toothpicks are needed for the first time, so that the leg does not bend where it should not)) Well, of course, the toothpicks are inserted like a skeleton, otherwise there is no other way (although at the time of writing the blog, an option with a skeleton made of foil was proposed, and the material consumption is less).
Slowly the second leg and groin of Bets were molded. Regarding the picture on the monitor, yes, I sculpted it looking at graphic examples, otherwise it would fail!

Bruce Wayne’s sirloin (what if ladies read this blog… Although with such quality. )

After sculpting all this stuff, my inflamed brain realized that with my knowledge of anatomy, my ability to work with this material, the torso I I’ll fuck you I’ll be sculpting for a very long time. That’s how it was, damn it. After the legs, the body was molded almost as a separate muscle. I won’t post the whole process, just the result. Bonus: my tired hand))

Next come the hands. So far everything seems to be good, yes?? Well, well, then look at the end result) Don’t forget about my flash, friends!

You can forget the picture in the background, because from that moment everything was molded from your head (it finally turned on!)
A couple more photos of the hand making process. Jar of toothpicks detected!
